The Mechanic: Resurrection (2016) – Should have stayed dead

Jason Statham, the action star which made some decent and good action movie, wanted to do another action movie after his side roles in F&F7 and Spy, so reprised his role of Athur Bishop. But I wish she didn’t do it.

The first Mechanic was a remake of the old Charles Bronson classic and was a decent action packed movie. So why make a sequel? Because they wanted to show you more of Bishop. Now he comes back to life after he is found in Brazil and needs to do an assignment for an old enemy. Oh yeah and there is a girl to save (Jessica Alba in a complete useless role).

Another bad sequel. It lacks story, heart and good action. First, why are most of the explosions bad CGI? Could not affort the money to create a real explosion? Also, Tommy Lee Jones plays one of the guys Statham needs to kill but he looked like a hippie, including bad earrings. Nope, usually I really enjoy Statham but this movie sucked. Completely. Perhaps if you are completely wasted after a good night out you can enjoy this on the couch with a big bag of chips or popcorn. But do not expect a great action movie.
