Goosebumps, the kids horror stories from author R.L. Stine transformed into a movie. Which story would they use and how would it be? In the end entertaining enough!
Zach (Dylan Minnette) is moving from city to city with his mom, when they move into a house and Zach immediately gets acqauinted with his neighbour Hannah (Odeya Rush). One night Zach hears screaming and call the police, who do nothing about the situation. So Zach goes on his own investigating and accidently opens up one of the Goosebumps books and unleashes the monsters from these fantastic tales. After this it’s up to Zach, Stine (played by Jack Black), Hannah and Cooper (Ryan Lee, very funny!) to return the beasts back to the books where they belong.
It has the feel of one of the Goosebumps story being interpeted before our own eyes. It is not just one story, a lot of familiar monsters from the books appear on screen. And some are even frightening, can imagine kids are scared somehow when they see some monsters. The movie was funny, especially Ryan Lee, fast and I enjoyed it watching. Even tough I am not a kid anymore, I enjoyed the vibe of this movie.
